Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) is back in the red at this year’s Giro d’Italia, with just one second ahead in the individual time trial on stage nine.
The road world champion started fastest in Savignano sul Rubicone, but slowed down on the way to Cesena. He crossed the finish line in 41 minutes and 24 seconds on the 35-kilometer course, averaging 50.725 km/h.
