Italian cycling apparel brand Santini announced the opening of a mask production line to supply the use of masks in Italy to help fight the spread of domestic epidemics.
Santini currently provides competition apparel for Boels Dolmans, Trek-Segafredo and UCI World Championships. The company is expected to start producing masks on March 23 (Monday).
The company cooperates with local textile manufacturer Sitip, and the production prototype has been completed. Such masks are currently being tested at the Politecnico di Milano, and only after passing the test are allowed to produce 10,000 masks per day.
